“Maybe all the strings inside him broke”

I always find it refreshing to hear life from the perspective of a nine year old – granted, John Green, who is definitely not a nine year old, wrote this from the perspective of a nine year old but it still rings true that all of us are simply a lot of strings – some a frayed and will one day snap and others are just severed clean in two in one easy hit, but at the end of the day, we only have so many strings, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. You can glue them back together, but they just don’t sound the same.
