De-Snailing the Garden

My mother is a keen gardener and often complains that slugs and snails eat her plants (they could be a little more considerate in striving to maintain their existence of course…) so after it got dark we went outside and we began snail hunting. If we found one on her plants, we put it in this plant pot and then put them on the verge. It is so disgusting! They made this squelching sound when we picked them up (well, when she picked them up, I stayed about three feet away with a torch) and I could have sworn one of them squealed. I am being all too serious.

Mum: Snails abseil.

Me: ???????????
